Small but full of joy!

My ACEO paintings are good for the pocket, and whether you collect them in a folder or have them framed or displayed, they are a lovely way to enjoy landscapes.

I’ve grown quite fond of the colours on this one. For me, the pleasure of painting in watercolour comes from waiting to see what happens when you drop colours next to each other. That’s how the trees on the horizon were created, then after a couple of days of pondering I took out my tiny brushes, added a few dots of Paynes grey to the horizon and the painting came together for me.

Great letterbox gifts, and also painted to order if you’d like something special created.

ACEO paintings are a pleasure to paint. I pull out my brushes, slosh some water around, and add a drop of colour!

It’s not quite that straightforward, but it’s where every painting starts.

This painting is the first in my 2024 Colours of Brittany art trading card series. I used wax resist on smooth Daler Rowney Aquafine paper, and slowing added layers of paint over the course of a few days. Yes, these paintings might be tiny, but once the initial washes are dried I go in with tiny brushes and make adjustments over a period of time.

Anyway, this original is available to one owner! I will add a limited number of printed options, but for now this is your chance to start collecting original miniature artworks.
